Motivation?

Ok, so I got home from work at 7:45PM tonight. Left the house at 7:45AM. I ate ok, but where oh where do I fit in a workout? I'm exhausted from a 12 hour day, and just can't motivate myself to get off my butt! Unfortunately for me, this is a regular occurance with my job. Any advice? Are any of you facing this same challenge?

Not knowing your work environment its a little hard to make suggestions but i will try. Most places allow a 15min break every 4hours of work. And you should be getting 2 food breaks because you work over 10 hours(i think). From what ive read Cardio needs to be atleast 10min to be effective and should be done atleast every other day.

I would suggest on these long days to make use of some of these breaks and take 10-15min brisk walks to get some exercise in. That is if the area you work in lends itself to this.

Another thing you could try is 10-15min of exercise everyday in the morning or when you get home. 10-15min here and there throughout the day is really a small amount of time and can go by quickly if you are listening to music you enjoy.

Although a 12 hour work day seems like a workout in its self and when you get home im sure your tired and its hard to get motivated. What i do is think of all the reasons i want to be thinner and healthier. Ive even thought of typing the list up and puting it up around the house to remind me why i am doing this and need to keep at it even when it gets tough.

Put the list by the TV, Computer, Bathroom Mirror, Fridge. All the places that would help with the motivation.
